Community photo standards
The gallery is for useful, encouraging records of Australian gardens. Every shared photo is reviewed before it appears publicly.
Before you share
Share only photos you took, or photos you have permission to publish. Keep people, house numbers, vehicle plates, mail labels and anything else that could identify a person or an exact home out of frame.
Welcome in the gallery
- Vegetable gardens, beds, pots, grow bags, seedlings and harvests
- Honest progress, including pests, setbacks and imperfect crops
- Short captions that help another gardener understand the photo
- Photos that are safe for a general audience
Not allowed
- People, especially children, unless every visible person has agreed to public sharing
- Personal information or clues to an exact home location
- Photos copied from somebody else without permission
- Illegal, unsafe, hateful, sexual, violent or deliberately distressing content
- Advertising, spam, contact details or attempts to move people off the service
Review and removal
A submission stays private while it is waiting for review. We may approve, reject or remove a gallery photo to apply these standards or protect someone's privacy. Rejection does not delete the photo from your private growth journal.
You can withdraw your own photo from its gallery menu at any time. We will stop displaying it and queue deletion of the public copy; the private journal copy remains until you delete it. We cannot retrieve copies other people already saved or screenshotted.
Repeated or serious breaches may pause an account's ability to submit more photos to the public gallery. That pause does not disable the account or its private growth journal.
See something wrong?
Use Report photo on the gallery item. Tell us if it shows personal information, somebody without permission, unsafe or offensive material, or content belonging to another person. We acknowledge reports and review them promptly.
